Further upstream, the straight stretch comes to end. To the right, the Moshassuck disappears under the interstate just as the the West tributary had a mile or so previous (at location 4 on the map). Flowing right to left, the water actually emerges from the dark underground to travel the distance covered in this panoramic picture.
