Here we see a typical bank of the Moshassuck. But, as we turn left (drag to the left on the image), we see where the Moshassuck emerges from under an off and on access ramp to the I-95 highway. Turning further left, we see the West tributary come in to meet the Moshassuck mainline after it has made the dark and musty passage under I-95. The two join forces to head downstream in a straightaway that passes by some Providence landmark businesses. Surprising how peaceful this resting spot is considering how much is going on around it. How many of us are mindful that the rivers had to go underground to best meet the needs of Providence's car society.
